Former Mediabrands CMO Liz Ross Raises Periscope, Sees Opportunity There

Liz Ross, the former IPG Mediabrands executive, has joined Minneapolis-based agency Periscope as president and CEO.

Ross succeeds Greg Kurowski, who will remain with the agency as vice chair, described by the shop as a part-time position.

Previously, Ross was global CMO at IPG Mediabrands, a post she left earlier this year. Before that, she had been North American president of IPG media agency BPN.

Earlier, Ross was with Publicis Groupe, where she served as chief growth officer at Digitas, and prior to that, she was U.S. president of Tribal DDB.

Bill Simpson, Periscope owner and chairman, cited Ross’ digital, media and creative skills. “She also believes in the power of culture,” Simpson said.

Ross said she was excited to join an agency with capabilities that span shopper marketing, advertising, experiential and media. “It is an organization poised for more growth and I am thrilled to be a part of it.”
