Can Jeb Fix It?

The new slogan — “Jeb Can Fix It” — barely hit the airwaves and is already being used as material to poke fun at Bush’s attempt to reset his bid for the Republican nomination.

From his brother’s former speechwriter David Frum making the association with cartoon character Bob the Builder’s theme song to John Podhoretz writing on Twitter that the new tagline “may be literally the worst slogan I’ve ever heard,” Jeb’s attempt to reignite his campaign is already under fire.

Jeb was interviewed on Saturday by "Meet the Press" anchor Chuck Todd to discuss why he still believes he can successfully navigate his campaign through the primaries. When asked if he has “what it takes to win the Republican nomination,” he responded: “I got a backbone, I got a heart, and I got a brain.”

Bush also rejected the premise of Todd’s question when asked if the “fire’s missing.” He subsequently blamed his poor debate performance on uncooperative moderators and the fact that it was a “really weird debate.”

The campaign does, however, show signs of staying power. Bush has the ability to tap into a well established and experienced on-the-ground apparatus. He overwhelms the rest of the Republican or Democratic fields with Super-PAC money raised totaling $103 million, rivaled only by Trump’s personal wealth.

He returned to the campaign trail on Monday with rallies in Florida. The message, also a theme in his interview with Todd, was optimism and pragmatism. “I will be true to myself, optimistic and inclusive.”

Whether this reset reinvigorates support for the campaign or entrenches anti-establishment voters in the “we don’t want a politician” camp, is strictly wait and see.

Big donors are obviously not happy.

Pressure on the campaign has forced Bush to reshuffle his team and implement pay cuts. With such sad-looking poll numbers for a former front-runner (6.6% in RealClearPolitics’ national poll average through 10/29), the Bush campaign is pulling out all the stops.

Bush’s new e-book, "Reply All," was released on Monday, where his emails as Florida’s top executive anchor a discussion on his time as governor. With a thinly veiled dig at the Clinton email scandal, he is trying his utmost to position himself as the best Republican candidate to take on the presumptive Democratic nominee.

His chances of success is anyone's guess. Meantime, like some of of his more aggressive rivals, he'll hope to shine in the Fox/The Wall Street Journal debate on Nov. 10.

First, Jeb has to fix himself.

Little too close to UK pedophile pervert Jimmy Saville's "Jim Will Fix It" kids' show, if you ask me. Jeb's campaign seems to be living in a bubble when it comes to marketing.
