REVOLVING DOOR: McCann London Names Alex Lubar As CEO

Alex Lubar was named CEO of McCann London. He currently serves as chief marketing officer of McCann Worldgroup's New York office, and will begin his new role in January, 2016. Lubar succeeds Zaid Al-Zaidy and will work closely with joint ECDs and presidents Rob Doubal and Lolly Thomson in his new role. Lubar, a UK native, joined McCann in 2012 as chief marketing officer of McCann North America, where he oversaw all new business activity and led the efforts that resulted in the addition of new clients such as the United States Postal Service, Lockheed Martin, Zurich Insurance, SABIC, and Jose Cuervo. In 2014 he was promoted to chief marketing officer of McCann Worldgroup. "As CMO, Alex's multidiscipline approach to helping our clients navigate the complexities of the marketing business today and finding solutions to the challenges facing their brands has led to terrific opportunities for us and our clients," said Harris Diamond, Chairman and CEO of McCann Worldgroup. "Becoming CEO of our growing London agency is the natural evolution of the job Alex has been doing globally with both new and existing clients." Added Doubal and Thomson: "We'll miss Zaid and wish him every success in his new venture. He's been wonderful to work with. But we're really looking forward to Alex joining. He's truly incredible and has been instrumental in transforming McCann's global offering. We're terrified by what we might achieve together."
