Media, Marketing And Agency Vets Launch New Data Firm


A group of well-known media and agency veterans have launched a new company called Predict Ventures that will focus on the development of new data services, products and business processes for the media and advertising industries.

The firm is based in New York and today unveiled its flagship business, Predict Consulting which has already signed a number of clients including A+E, AMC, The Sundance Institute and Canada’s Corus Entertainment. 

Comprised of media, data and tech industry veterans, Predict Consulting is a partnership led by five digital marketing vets with loads of experience in the media and advertising technology marketplace. They include: 

Ed Vincent , founder of Citystuff, Inc., a nationwide e-commerce network and SimplyEngage, an integrated marketing solutions company. 

Chris Bryant, founder of T3 Media the interactive AOR for divisions of major companies such as  Microsoft, Deutsche Bank and American Express.

 Jeff Marcus, former CTO of 24/7 Real Media before its sale to WPP for $650 million. He was also an executive at DoubleClick prior to its sale to Google. 

Allen Wyke , who  previously led digital technology and product development teams for CNN and NBCUniversal’s iVillage. 

Philip Kearney, who has led digital product strategy for AOL, American Media, and CNN, among others.

 “The application and activation of data today is analogous to the first wave of the web as a necessary channel for all business,” said Vincent. “And the second wave of mobile as the point of engagement. We are in the early days of the data wave and there are early adopter data-driven organizations today, but all organizations will ultimately apply data to drive business.” 

Predict Consulting has additional offices in Princeton, New Jersey, and Toronto, Canada, and employs 20 consultants in addition to its five founding partners.
