DigitaslLBi Gets In On the Holiday Hack Thing But Makes Things Real With $10,000 Donation to Girls Who Code

Tis the season to...watch all ad agencies do exactly the same trendy thing for their holiday card? For years, it was video. Every agency would decide they were talented enough to go Hollywood and craft some seasonal spectacular that, barring a few cases, were usually flops. Then it was apps. Now it's hacks. Yes, hacks. Because hacking it, well, is really really trendy, right?

Last week, in addition to its moderately amusing Jolly Beard, McKinney dropped a few hacks that are designed to help you get through the holiday season. One such suggested hack was the Roaming Mistletoe, a fleet of mistletoe delivery men and women available to show up, kiss you under the mistletoe and disappear, never to be seen again, which allows the kissee to avoid any unwanted expectations or awkwardness that can come with a kiss.

This week, DigitasLBi is out with Holiday Hacks. For those who are struggling last minute for gift ideas, there's the Make A Last-Minute Gift hack which illustrates how to make a drink koozie out of a mousepad. Then there's the How to Make an In-Flight TV Using Your Smartphone which basically consists of placing your phone in a zip lock bag and hanging it from the seat-back tray table lever. Lastly, there's the How to Create Your Own Midnight Ball Drop hack, which involves using a yo-yo and tin foil to, well, make a mistletoe.

The hacks, thankfully, are more than pure, ahem, folly. As part of the holiday hacks thing, DigitasLBi will donate $10,000 to Girls Who Code
