Havas Group has appointed Pedro Avery to CEO of its Havas Sports & Entertainment network effective next month. Avery replaces Lucien Boyer, who is leaving to take a position at Vivendi. 

Avery is currently group managing director, Havas Media Group UK & CEO Arena Media UK. He will retain both those roles, while taking on the added responsibility for HS&E, the agency said. 

The agency also said that Jérôme de Chaunac has been promoted to managing director of HS&E. Previously, he was COO.  

Yannick Bolloré, Havas CEO, commented that Avery and his team “will work alongside myself and the Executive Committee to foster a better integration of Havas Sports & Entertainment within the Group, while designing the future of our offering”  and strengthening the group’s position in the world of content, entertainment and sports.
