Despite a last-minute effort by Charles Dolan, Cablevision Thursday evening said it would sell its Voom satellite service to EchoStar for $200 million in cash. Under the
deal, EchoStar, which runs the Dish Network, would get Cablevision's Rainbow satellite, which was launched in July 2003 to provide a unique high-definition satellite television service.
