Global Delight Rebrands Editing Tool, Adds Ability To Share Videos Via Email

iOS developer Global Delight announced Wednesday the rebranding of mobile video editing application Game Your Video, and the addition of features that allow users to share videos via email. Vizmato, the new name, has more than 3.5 million users running on iOS.

The mobile application features a variety of Instagram-like filters for film, as well as custom text overlays and audio tracks. Advanced features, such as split screen and the ability to join more video clips together, are available at an additional price.

The update adds advanced sharing and shooting technological capabilities, including the ability to record in either portrait or landscape mode, use the front-facing iOS camera for "selfie" videos and store, download and sync videos between devices in the cloud.

Once a video has been created and edited, Vizmato users can share the reel by publishing it to a variety of channels including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Vine, Vimeo, iMessage and email. Vizmato also provides an internal social platform to share videos among the Vizmato audience.

Simply inserting the word 'video' in an email subject line can boost open rates by 7% to 19%, according to Hubspot. Videos in the body of an email have also been shown to increase conversion rates by as much as 21%, per Experian.

Video may also be a solid marketing tactic to target Generation Z and younger Millennials. Eighteen- to-24-year-olds are the most likely audience to watch video content on their smartphones, according to Millward Brown’s AdReaction Video Study.

In a poll of 13,500 global multiscreen users, Millward Brown also discovered that smartphones had overtaken computers, tablets, and On Demand TV as the most popular method for watching video content. Smartphones still lag behind live TV, however, with only 22% of the share of exposure versus TV’s 32%.
