If you are going to talk about ad blocking, let's take a look at the full picture.  Ad blocking started with concepts from Google AdSense, Yahoo and others. Their ad blocking was for legitimate reasons and most advertisers I am sure would say was fair. However this created the format to the next generation of blocking at the individual level.

Several years ago, Google said wanted to limit the number of ads per page. This was for the reason of mobile and faster page load speed.

I would like to see a real panel of fair mind people from the sponsors, agencies, publishers and other to set a fair set of rules about what can be blocked or unblocked, quality standards of ads and other issue.  As a publisher, I would pay a fee to be certified to recognized as a quality company/website not to have quality ads blocked from my website.  Publishers and Advertisers deserve a voice as well.
