Havas Worldwide Europe hired Thomas Funk as managing director of Europe, responsible for regional operations, with a focus on driving growth and expanding new services. Eric Schoeffler joined the
agency as European executive creative director, overseeing creative for clients and working closely with creative leaders around the globe. Both will report to Chris Hirst, CEO of Havas Worldwide
Europe, who joined the agency a few months ago from Grey London. Funk joins the agency from DDB Group Germany, where he served as CEO. Previously, Funk was a member of the global board of RAPP, based
in London. Schoeffler spent the past 17 years at DDB, with the last five as chief creative officer of DDB Group Germany. He was also a member of the global creative council at DDB Worldwide. While at
DDB Germany, Funk and Schoeffler managed the merger with its digital sister agency, Tribal. The pair worked for clients such as Volkswagen, Deutsche Telekom, Sony, Henkel and eBay. "I'm thrilled to
