Automatic Supplies Ordering Seen For Internet Of Things

Online shopping is undergoing a shift. The days of entering your credit card number, name, address and other buying information is giving way to buy buttons and one-touch purchasing. Mobile technology now allows people to buy anything, at any time, wherever they are. And with just one tap of their thumb. This is what's known as contextual commerce: making the buying experience as easy as possible and making mobile shopping part of a person's everyday activities. Pinterest's Buyable Pins are a good example. Last year Pinterest launched buy buttons inside users' home feeds, boards and in search results, allowing them to easily purchase items while browsing Pinterest. It brought buying into the app, rather than requiring the user to track down an item through Google or Amazon for purchase.

    Great, more ways for fraudulent purchases. More activity for hackers to hack. In an honest world, I think it's great to get instantaneous buy buttons, but there is so much fraud going on in the digital space that it's really not worth having my life turned upside down as a result of identity theft and fraud purchases. The more convenience offered, the wider the playground for hackers.
