Publicis Acquires Salesforce Shop Vertiba

Publicis.Sapient is acquiring Vertiba to further strengthen its footprint in cloud-based technology. Founded in 2010, Vertiba delivers a range of services around the Salesforce platform and has completed more than 800 projects leveraging its skills in consulting, implementation and integration, as well as custom cloud application development and support. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Publicis.Sapient will integrate Vertiba’s capabilities into its platform, which combines DigitasLBi, Razorfish, and SapientNitro with Sapient Consulting, and will support Salesforce’s increased emphasis on reaching clients across multiple touchpoints.

For the near future, the network intends for Vertiba to maintain its existing brand, as part of the Publicis.Sapient platform.

This deal was primarily driven to provide Publicis.Sapient with more expertise in Salesforce technology. Publicis.Sapient has been expanding its Salesforce capabilities for some time and has been identifying potential partners and acquisition targets in the space. "Vertiba rapidly distinguished itself as a leading Salesforce consulting partner," the network stated. "From initial meetings through our announcement today, the benefits that our combined capabilities could have to our clients’ transformation initiatives have been clear."

Vertiba is headquartered in Boulder, employing 80-100 staffers and has been expanding operations beyond the Colorado area for several years.  The acquisition by Publicis.Sapient will likely accelerate that expansion, per agency sources.
