J. Walter Thompson has promoted Stefano Zunino to CEO of the Americas, a new position at the agency.
Zunino, an 11-year JWT veteran will have oversight of the flagship agency, digital agency network Mirum and content marketing group Colloquial across North America and Latin America. He reports to Gustavo Martinez, J. Walter Thompson Company’s Worldwide Chairman and CEO.
Commenting on the move, Martinez cited Zunino’s “exemplary and adaptive leadership abilities” and his “knack for attracting and developing talent, and building teams that are aligned towards a common goal. These skills will be critical and necessary as he works to continue to foster alignment and new business opportunities across the U.S. and Latin America.”
Zunino has been CEO of the agency’s Latin America region since 2014 and worldwide head of digital since 2013. He played a large role in the creation of both Mirum and Colloquial and will retain his digital role as takes on the broader CEO Americas job.
