  • February 10, 2005
Web analytics company WebSideStory this week agreed to acquire Atomz, a company that provides Web content management and search within sites, for about $40 million (3.1 million shares of common stock, stock options, and $4.3 million in cash). The deal is expected to close April 1. Pre-merger, 19 percent of WebSideStory's top 100 clients were also clients of Atomz, said Rand Schulman, chief marketing officer at WebSideStory. In addition to integrating Atomz's site search and content manager, WebSideStory also will launch a new keyword bid management tool for search marketers.
