Captivate Network, which delivers programming and advertising via flat-panel television screens in office building elevators, says ad recall on its network beats industry averages. A recently
completed Nielsen Media Research study shows that Captivate delivers an average ad recall of over 45% among tenants. The company says this exceeds industry norms for most media, which typically score
in the mid-20's to 30's. The study also indicates that about 90% of these tenants are age 25+ and have an average household income of $105,000, which is almost double the national average of $55,000
(source: US Census data, 2000). In addition to ad recall and audience demographics, the study measured several variables including audience viewing habits and attitude toward Captivate, ad
effectiveness, and purchase intent.
