Hardware supplier The Hillman Group has named Indianapolis-based Young & Laramore as its lead creative agency and primary brand strategist.
Hillman offers fasteners, key duplication and engraving systems and related hardware items to over 26,000 retail customers in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and South America.
There was not a formal review and no incumbent agency.
Hillman approached the full-service independent shop based on previous work it did on brands such as KraftMaid cabinets, Brizo faucets and Schlage locks.
“Y&L’s experience in the home category, combined with their unique approach to understanding consumer behavior made them the perfect fit for us as we create this new consumer brand,” said Dan Smercina, VP marketing, Hillman.
The company is based in Cincinnati.
