Fallon Taps Neo@Ogilvy's Mellano As Media Chief

Fallon is bolstering its leadership team to help direct its expanding media and digital offerings.

Mandana Mellano joins the creative shop as chief media officer to oversee the Publicis-owned agency's media strategy and activation practice. The position is new at the agency. She formerly served as partner and director at Neo@Ogilvy and has spent time at Omnicom’s Rapp as well as at GroupM’s Mindshare and MEC, and Kastner and Partners.

Meanwhile, Matt Benka departs Space150 to take on the newly created position of director of digital. He is tasked with overseeing and expanding the agency's digital services.

In both cases, their first priorities will be new campaigns for clients including WhiteWave Foods and the Big Ten Network, which will break later this year.

Both executives will be based in Minneapolis and report to CEO Mike Buchner.

“We have good momentum coming off strong 2015 new business performance,” stated Buchner. “But momentum is fleeting in this game, so you have to stay ahead of the curve to hold on to it.  Building out our tech offering is something that we’ve been working hard to establish, and I think Mandana and Matt are the perfect people to lead the way as we embark upon this next chapter of growth at Fallon.”
