San Francisco-based software developer Mark Wilson tracked his personal email usage for three years to determine how his inbox was affecting his life.
"I noticed when my inbox count was high, I was stressed out, and when it was low, it was like I was walking on air," he told Forbes. Sharing his age stats on his blog, Wilson revealed that in any given 15-minute period, he was 50 percent likely to be checking his email. He responded to half of incoming messages within six hours.
