Mcgarrybowen Expands To Mexico With Agency Acquisition

Dentsu Aegis Network has acquired Mexico City-based ad agency Arrechedera y Claverol (AC). It will become part of mcgarrybowen, expanding the agency’s footprint to the Mexican market, considered a key creative hub by the company.

AC clients include Volkswagen, Lenovo, Bacardi and insurance company AXA.

AC will be renamed AC/mcgarrybowen with its management team – Sebastian Arrechedera, Creative Director; Juan Claverol, Business and Client Development Director; Miquel Daura, Managing Director – reporting to Julio Castellanos, CEO, Dentsu Aegis Network Mexico. The agency was founded in 2007 by Arrechedera and Claverol and has grown to a team of 110 people.

The addition of Mexico City further extends mcgarrybowen’s growing global network, now including Amsterdam, London, Paris, Shanghai, Singapore, Hong Kong, and São Paulo, in addition to its US offices in New York, Chicago, San Francisco and San Antonio.

It’s the second recent acquisition by Dentsu Aegis is Mexico. In March it acquired digital agency Flock Advertising, also based in Mexico City. That agency is being rebranded Flock—Linked By Isobar.
