Magazine publisher Active Interest
Media has signed a multi-year publishing partnership with independent book publisher Globe Pequot, following a successful collaboration on the April release of the book "Backpacker: The National Parks
Coast to Coast, 100 Best Hikes.
"The partnership will unite Globe Pequot’s expertise in book publishing with AIM’s connection to an audience of dedicated
enthusiast readers.
The terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
This spring, Globe Pequot’s FalconGuides imprint, publisher of outdoor recreation
books, produced the "Backpacker" book with AIM’s magazine. The book features detailed hike profiles, maps and full-color photos of U.S. national parks.

will continue to publish a list of books for the enthusiast market, authored by either AIM writers and editors or authors in Globe’s network.

by AIM’s multi-channel marketing platforms."
An AIM spokesperson told
Publishers Daily that the books will be published throughout the company’s magazine
titles’ divisions, such as marine, outdoor, healthy living, home, woodworking, gardening and equine.
All books will be advertised on each group’s sites and digital
platforms, as well as in print.
“AIM publications speak to readers who have authentic passion for their chosen pursuits,” Jim Childs, publisher of Globe Pequot, stated.
“They represent the ideal market for the books we produce as a category, enthusiast publisher.”
