Westward Ho--Direct Agents Heads to Los Angeles

Direct Agents is expanding from its New York City headquarters to open the digital marketing shop's first West Coast office in Los Angeles.

"Given the tech boom in Silicon Valley, and the continued trends of companies expanding outward, Silicon Beach presented the greatest opportunity for growth, market expansion, and strategic imprint for marketing technology," says the agency.

Direct Agents says this move is happening now as it continues to grow its west coast client base. It also plans to open an office in San Francisco as early as next year.

The LA office will be led by Nick Galante who serves as director of programmatic. He will oversee a team that is expected to total 10-15 people by the end of the year. The new office will be comprised of both new local hires and New York transplants, that agency said.

The LA office will spearhead the agency's new directagents.tv initiative that is designed to work as an end-to-end cross-platform programmatic video solution. "We see the massive transition in media consumption from linear TV to digital video [and]  plan to stay ahead of this transformation,” the agency stated.  It’s betting that the offering will appeal to many entertainment-focused advertisers.
