  • March 2, 2005
The Walt Disney cable networks--Disney Channel, Toon Disney, and ABC Family--celebrated the Kids Upfront season by unveiling several new series yesterday.

The Disney Channel will debut six original series for preschoolers, six original series for kids 6 to 11 and tweens, and six original movies over the next season. Shows from "Playhouse Disney," Disney Channel's preschool block, include "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse," as well as "Little Einsteins," which debuts in October.

The block is also premiering a song-filled entertainment hour called "Breakfast with Bear," which debuts in June. "Jetix," the action-programming block that airs on Toon Disney and ABC Family, will kick-off its 26 original episodes this fall. Toon Disney will add two animated shows from the Disney Channel--"Kim Possible" and "Lilo & Stitch: The Series"--to its lineup. "Kim" comes to Toon Disney in April, while "Lilo & Stitch" will be added in early 2006. --David Kaplan
