Just when the magazine was poised for a turnaround, Suzanne Sobel has stepped down ad publisher of
Martha Stewart Living. In a statement, Sobel, who was also an executive vice president of
Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, said she was leaving for "new challenges." Meanwhile, some of the magazine's old challenges - the reluctance of advertisers to buy it - is expected to be
lifted when Martha Stewart finishes her five-month sentence this weekend.
