4A's Promotes Senior Officers

The Advisory Council of the American Association of Advertising Agencies has nominated Anthony J. Hopp--chairman and CEO of Campbell-Ewald, Warren, MI--to serve a one-year term as vice chairman of the 4A's board of directors, making him first in line to succeed Euro RSCG Worldwide Chief Executive and Chief Creative Officer Ron Berger as chairman of the 4A's in 2006. The vice chair's term begins at the 4A's Management Conference in May.

Hopp previously served as an AAAA director-at-large for the past four years.

Additionally, Sharon Napier, president and CEO of Partners + Napier, Rochester, NY, was nominated to a two-year term as the Association Board's secretary-treasurer for 2005-2007. Ms. Napier heads the Rochester and Atlanta offices in the Partners + Napier network.

Four new directors-at-large were nominated to begin three-year terms; all positions will be effective beginning at the May management conference. The nominees are Thomas Bernardin, CEO, Leo Burnett USA, Chicago; Ken Kaess, president and CEO, DDB Worldwide, New York; Linda Sawyer, managing partner and COO, Deutsch Inc., New York; and Michael Sheehan, president and CEO, Hill, Holliday, Boston. Kaess transitions from his previous role, as the 4A's immediate past chair, to the position of director-at-large. The four nominees will join a group of seven other directors-at-large whose terms are still current.
