MediaCom Wins $50 Million BRP Account

WPP’s MediaCom has been selected for North American planning and buying duties for Quebec-based BRP, which makes Ski-Doo snowmobiles and other recreational products.

The company spends an estimated $50 million annually on ads.

The selection came after a review. The incumbent was Geometry, also part of WPP. Sources said the agency did not participate in the review.

“We are very driven to grow our brands, and we look forward to working with MediaCom on the development of a fully-connected market strategy,” stated Louis Levesque, BRP’s VP, Global Marketing and Consumer Experience. “Innovation and passion are at the heart of our business and both came through strongly in MediaCom’s pitch and client experience.”

“BRP has done a great job blending a long heritage with a very current set of consumer insights and strategies,” added Phil Cowdell, CEO of MediaCom North America. “As The Content + Connections agency, it’ll be our job to bring BRP’s spirit of adventure to a growing audience.”

MediaCom will manage the BRP account from its Quebec office.

BRP went public in 2013 and sells products in over 100 countries worldwide.
