Fox Marketing Vet Bernard Joins Simulmedia

Veteran TV and film marketing executive, Laurel Bernard has joined TV data-driven ad technology company Simulmedia, as president of entertainment marketing.

For the last nine years Bernard was EVP of marketing, Fox Broadcasting. She will look to expand Simulmedia’s TV advertising marketing efforts for the network television, home entertainment, and, theatrical and gaming industries.

Bernard says Simulmedia's growing efforts will help all entertainment marketers that are challenged in “finding audiences quickly, efficiently and at scale, and driving those audiences to take an action.”

At Fox Broadcasting, she worked on Fox’s shows including “Empire,” “American Idol,” “Glee,” “Twenty-Four,” “The Simpsons” and “Family Guy.”

Overall, Bernard has spent nearly 30 years as a veteran of 21st Century Fox and 20th Century Fox businesses -- including 20th Century Fox Film, Fox Home Entertainment, and Fox Searchlight, the company’s mid-size and independent minded film studio.

Theatrical marketing efforts she worked on included “Moulin Rouge,” “Star Wars Episode One,” “Little Miss Sunshine” and “Juno.”

Bernard will report to Michael Zimbalist, CMO of Simulmedia.
