UK agency The Specialist Works (TSW) has acquired a majority stake in U.S. media shop Elarbee Media. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The seven-staff Elarbee Media will be rebranded as The Specialist Works and will be led by Elarbee President Kelly Elarbee, working closely with CEO and Founder of The Specialist Works, Jim Lewcock in the UK. The 140-staff TSW has offices in London, Kent, Bath, Sweden, Germany and Republic of Ireland.
Atlanta-based Elarbee Media’s clients include satellite provider Dish and eCommerce stationery retailer Expressionary.
The two shops were familiar with one another. TSW and Elarbee Media have been working in partnership for a number of months prior to the acquisition, with TSW UK clients Charles Tyrwhitt, Boden and The White Company already accessing the U.S. market via Elarbee.
Plus, it has always been part of TSW's strategy to expand, but this deal came earlier than anticipated due to the growing number of clients needing to expand their offerings into the U.S., they say.
