Barker Appoints David Song Managing Director


New York-based independent ad shop Barker has hired David Song as managing director, a new role at the agency. 

Song will be responsible for leading all facets of the agency, while focusing on optimizing revenue growth. He will be based in New York and report to John Barker, the Founder and Chief Idea Officer. 

Song brings over 20 years of media strategy and brand planning experience to Barker. Most recently, he was managing director at New York agency Rosie Labs, where Song is credited with leading the effort to grow revenues at the startup agency to $50 million over five years. 

Earlier, Song served as a managing partner at J. Walter Thompson and as Chief Integration Officer at Interpublic’s Hill Holliday. He has worked with brands such as Sony, Volkswagen, P&G, Royal Caribbean, Fidelity, SBC, McDonald’s, Orbitz and Verizon Wireless.
