Fox News Channel Gets New Co-Presidents

In the wake of Roger Ailes' departure at the top post of Fox News Channel/Fox Business Network, two veteran Fox executives will now take control of the channels.

Jack Abernethy, CEO of Fox Television Stations, and Bill Shine, senior EVP of programming at Fox News Channel/Fox Business Channel, will now be co-presidents of FNC/FBC, effective immediately.

Both will be reporting to Rupert Murdoch, executive chairman of 21st Century Fox, who also serves as executive chairman of Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network.

Abernethy will continue to run Fox Television Stations and now will oversee all business components of FNC and FBN including finance, advertising sales and distribution units.

Shine will run all programming and news functions of FNC/FBN including production, technical operations and talent management.

Suzanne Scott has been promoted to EVP of programming and development for FNC, continuing to report to Shine. She had been senior vp of programming and development at FNC since 2009.

Roger Ailes, who was chairman/CEO of Fox News Channel/Fox Business Network and chairman of Fox Television Stations, was ousted in late July after sexual harassment allegations and an initial internal inquiry by Fox.
