Crispin Porter + Bogusky Promotes Four Women To Creative Director

Say what? The ad bro world allowed a woman to become creative director? Oh, wait! Not just one, but four! Yes, that's right. Crispin Porter + Bogusky Boulder has promoted four women to the position of creative director. There's a really bad Mitt Romney "binders full of women" joke in there but I'm going to pass.

In an industry that seemingly prides itself on bro culture and possesses zero sensitivity to the offensiveness of that culture -- albeit with some recent moves in the right direction -- it's refreshing to see an agency do the right thing.

Associate Creative Directors  Kelly McCormick, Stephanie Kohnen, Mona Hasan and Quinn Katherman have been promoted to the position of Creative Director.

Of the promotions, CP+B Boulder CCO Ralph Watson said: “These four have been vital contributors to multiple noteworthy campaigns, clients and new business. Their incredible talent, work ethic and creative instincts push the agency forward in a new way every day. It’s an honor to have them help lead and shape the next generation of creativity of CP+B in Boulder.”

McCormick has been with CP+B since 2010 and has worked on Infiniti, Domino's and American Airlines. Creativity named her the second-most awarded creative in 2012, and her work has brought home two Cannes Grand Prix, a Gold Effie and Clio and a D&AD Yellow Pencil. Her Best Buy Super Bowl commercial featuring Amy Pohler was named a "best of game" spot by The Washington Post.

Kohnen joined CP+B in 2013, arriving from Team Detroit. She has worked on Kraft, Best Buy, Windows Phone and Fruit of the Loom. Her work has received an Emmy Award for “Outstanding Interactive Experience” as well as several Webby awards for "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" Web site and mobile app.

Hasan came to CP+B in 2012 from R/GA and McKinney. She is responsible for Domino's virtual voice-ordering assistant Dom and helped Fruit of the Loom launch a faux line of plastic pants called Plastique. She has taken home metal from Cannes, One Show, Clio, D&AD, LIA and MIXX.

Katherman joined CP+B in December of 2015 and was previously with Arnold. She was named one of "18 Funny Women to Follow" by the Huffington Post after posting rejected jokes from her humor writing work for Recycled Paper Greetings to Twitter. Katherman helped craft the voice of Flo for Progressive and has worked on Jack Daniels, Carnival, Yoplait, Lee Jeans and Vanity Fair.
