Hewlett Packard Enterprise Shifts Most Of Its $224 Million Ad Assignment To Publicis

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has confirmed that it is shifting the bulk of its agency assignment to Publicis Groupe from Omnicom after a review.

HPE reported spending about $224 million on advertising in its fiscal year 2015.

The move follows the spin-off of HPE last year from Hewlett Packard. HP continues to sell personal computers and printers while Hewlett Packard Enterprise markets commercial computer systems, software and tech services.

As part of the shift Publicis Worldwide is expected to lead creative ad efforts for HPE. At Omnicom those duties have been handled by BBDO.  At Publicis, DigitasLBi, Razorfish and Optimedia are also expected to work on the account.

Omnicom agencies will continue to do some work for HPE as confirmed by the company in a statement: “HPE has made the decision to transition the marketing work currently being done by BBDO, Doremus, Rapp, and OMG to Publicis.  This decision does not impact the strong relationships that HPE has with Omnicom agencies Ketchum, Siegel + Gale, Interbrand and GMR.”
