Sprinklr Taps Page As COO

Social-media marketing firm Sprinklr just named Tim Page as its new Chief Operating Officer.

 

Page most recently service as COO at VCE, the converged platforms division of EMC.

Reporting to Sprinklr President Carlos Dominguez, Page will be responsible for fostering collaboration between the company’s business units, and mapping out a strategy for long-term growth.

Regarding his new employer, Page said in a statement: “This company is on a rare kind of trajectory.”

Indeed, Sprinklr recently raised another $105 million at a valuation of $1.8 billion. The round -- which brought the company’s total funding to $239 million -- was led by Singapore-based investment firm Temasek.

The recently raised funds were expected help the social-media firm continue its aggressive acquisition strategy.

Most recently, Sprinklr acquired social visualization platform Postano. Last year, it bought audience segmentation and management platform Booshaka, location-specific text analytics software NewBrand,and the social-community software specialists at Pluck.

The fresh funding was also expected to support Sprinklr’s continued international expansion. Since the beginning of 2015, Sprinklr has expanded into Brazil, Japan, and the United Arab Emirates, while adding to its existing operations in the UK, France, Germany, India, and Canada.

Sprinklr on Tuesday also announced its first two strategic advisors in Executive Chairman and former CEO of Cisco John Chambers and Professor Mohan Sawhney.

Sprinklr has also added Ed Gillis to its board, the company said on Tuesday. Gillis has served as CFO at major tech organizations including Veritas, PTC and Lotus, in addition to interim executive roles at Skype and Avaya.
