Delivery Agent Gets $5.5 Million VC Funds

Delivery Agent, Inc. secured $5.5 million in venture capital funding through Worldview Technology Partners and Cardinal Venture Capital, the company is expected to announce today. The deal, which closed March 18, marks the first time the 4-year-old company has received venture funds; prior funding has come from "angel" investors.

Delivery Agent assists movie and television studios in selling merchandise featured on the programs such as "Project Runway," "Will & Grace," and "Las Vegas." The 15-employee San Francisco-based company creates Web sites for merchandise featured on shows, and also handles the administrative work--taking orders and shipping products.
