Celebs To Give Forecasts On The Weather Channel

  • March 29, 2005
Think your favorite sitcom or pop music star can handle a weather forecast? Well, in a bid to make weather more entertaining than it already is--if such a thing is indeed possible--The Weather Channel is opening its doors to stars of music, television, film, and stage by offering celebrities an opportunity to make a guest appearance on the popular 24-hour cable network.

On Monday, The Weather Channel put the word out that celebrities will have the chance to appear on-camera from the network's Atlanta studios to try their hand at broadcasting the weather to millions of viewers. Celebrities and guests will be interviewed on-camera in a taped segment that will air several times throughout the broadcast day. In addition, personalities will be offered the opportunity to appear in front of the "blue screen" and tape a weather forecast for broadcast the same day. -- D.K.
