Insurer Hiscox USA Appoints gyro AOR

Small-business insurer Hiscox USA has selected gyro New York as its marketing and advertising agency of record. The agency is tasked with continuing to raise awareness of Hiscox USA’s products and solutions, as well as building on the company’s “Encourage Courage” campaign, which was launched two years ago.

The selection came after a formal review. Doremus was the incumbent.

 “Gyro’s fearless and innovative approach to marketing is exactly what we were looking for in a partner,” stated Hiscox USA’s Head of Marketing, Russ Findlay. “As a company that has been at the forefront of technological innovation in the insurance industry, we’re excited to work with gyro to continue to build upon the successes of Encourage Courage and take the campaign to new heights.”



The insurer offers an array of coverage plans for small businesses direct and online.

The firm’s “Encourage Courage” campaign advocates responsible risk-taking to achieve growth. As noted in the campaign’s creative: “We don’t fear risk — we fear not taking it: Hiscox helps people and businesses embrace risk and reach their full potential.”

The campaign includes an online series called Courageous Leaders.

Hiscox spent close to $3 million on ads in the U.S. last year according to Kantar Media.
