FCC Passes Rules Requiring ISPs to Get Permission Before Selling Customer Data

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has passed new rules that will require ISPs to get permission from customers in order to share or sell their personal data to third parties. The data includes browsing history, email data, location data, app usage, and financial data. ISPs will still be able to deal in anonymized data without permission.
