Hulu has added new network deals for its new live TV streaming service from 21st Century Fox and Walt Disney. The new service is set to launch in early 2017.

The new service will look to complement Hulu's existing on-demand programming services, with limited commercials for $7.99 per month or commercial-free for $11.99 per month.

The deal includes live and on-demand programming from Disney/ABC Television Group networks and ESPN as well as Fox, Fox Sports, Fox News, FX Networks, Fox Regional Sports Networks, National Geographic.

Both Fox and Disney are equity partners in Hulu. Comcast’s NBCUniversal and Time Warner are also partners.

Previously, Hulu announced a deal with Time Warner for many of its networks, including TNT, TBS, CNN, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, truTV, Boomerang and Turner Classic Movies.

Other services are looking to compete in this area -- including YouTube’s Unplugged, which recently signed on CBS. A number of major network groups were reportedly close to signing on as well. That service will also start up in early 2017.

Dish’s Sling TV, another live streaming/on-demand service, has been in operation for over a year and a half.
