Data Breaches Up 26% This Year as of Mid October

Data breaches have increased by 26 percent this year, as of October 19th, according to a recent report by Intel Security. The research revealed that more than 20 data losses that take place every day are related to ransomware attacks. According to the Identity Theft Resource Center (ITRC) there have been 858 data breaches recorded this year through November 8, 2016, in which 30 million records were exposed.
