SinusBuster Bursts Into View With Social Blitz

Akorn Consumer Health is introducing its first advertising campaign for its SinusBuster Nasal Spray with an "intense burst" media buy in order to quickly put the homeopathic brand on the social media map. 

Developed with creative agency Baiocco and Maldari Connection (BAM) and media shop OCD, the concept presents the product as a challenge to users suffering from sinus woes. The main web video entitled “Buster Faces”, promises “first you’ll hate us, then you’ll love us” and shows multiple users experiencing first the shocking blast and then deep relief – all to the beat of an upbeat music track. User portraits are overlaid with text including “No Pain No Gain,” "Ohh Becomes AHHHH” and “Wham Bam Thank You Cayenne.”

The campaign is publishing one supported post per day for 90 straight weekdays on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, designed to "blast this challenger brand onto the map," says the agency. 

Then the campaign will likely drop back to 2-3 times per week. 

The campaign also includes display, video, and promotional posts, as well as banner ads and web design. 

The effort is targeting sinus sufferers, aged 25-54, men and women that use OTC products to relieve their symptoms.
