Amazon Increased December Emails by 56% This Year

Amazon increased its email campaign volume by 56% during the first 10 days of December, and overall has seen a 20% read rate, according to new metrics from eDataSource. The research tracked campaigns sent by major retailers between November 29 (the day after Cyber Monday) through December 10, and found that the Seattle-based e-commerce giant sent 1,691 email campaigns during the time frame. The response rates were much higher than other sellers, including: Toys R Us, Macy’s, Dicks Sporting Goods, Best Buy, Walmart, Kohl’s and Target.
