IPG Mediabrands Appoints Tim Ringel Global President, Reprise Media

Interpublic Group's IPG Mediabrands announced Friday that its search and digital experience arm Reprise Media has a new global president. The agency appointed Tim Ringel to lead continuous growth and expansion.

The group, which provides paid-search advertising, search engine optimization and social media services across IPG employees about 500 in 40 offices worldwide.

Ringel, in the newly created position, will work closely with Craig Ellis, EVP and global head of operations at Reprise, to drive the innovation and development of core product capabilities.

Based in New York, Ringel will report to Henry Tajer, global CEO, and Chris Loll, COO, NA, IPG Mediabrands.

Taje said in a statement that driving the past year the network has "invested heavily in building best-in-class products, recruiting top talent and expanding the global footprint of our specialty business units."

Tajer believes Ringel will continue the trend of building a network of stronger and innovative businesses to support and partner with brands.

After selling metapeople Group to Netbooster Group in 2011, Tim took on the role of CEO at Netbooster Group, overseeing more than 500 employees worldwide. His LinkedIn profile describes his experience as board of directors' member since selling the company.

As CEO of metapeople GmbH in 1999, Ringel predicted the impact that digital media and services would have on our industry, according to IPG.

"Reprise is widely considered one of the premier search agencies in the business," said Ringel in a statement. "To lead IPG Mediabrands’ search and digital evolution as well as Reprise’s global expansion is an opportunity I couldn’t pass up."

In October 2016, Reprise won OMMA’s Search Marketing award for an SEM Campaign.
