KFC China Uses Facial Recognition To Recommend Menu Items

KFC has teamed up with Baidu — the search engine company often referred to as “China’s Google” — to develop facial-recognition technology that can be used to predict customer’s orders. The artificial intelligence-enabled system can recommend menu items based on a customer’s estimated age and mood.

    Definitely some sexism and ageism. I really want to go to China and go to a KFC and see what they suggest I order. Could be interesting to see how the algorithm responds to a non-Chinese person.
