French utility company RTE has asked citizens to cut down on sending large files via email in order to help save power at data centers. The company has warned that the country is about to reach its
peak consumption by Thursday, and wants to cut down on electrical usage in order to conserve energy. The group also suggested that people turn off lights, computers and lower the temperature on their
thermostats.
