Court Denies DOJ Appeal in Microsoft Overseas Privacy Case

A U.S. appeals court has denied the Department of Justice's push to require Microsoft to turn over customer emails stored outside of the country. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit declined to change its previous decision to allow the DOJ to require Microsoft to share private customer email data as part of a drug trafficking investigation.
