Dovecot Email Server Wins Highest Security Rating

Email server Dovecot has been rated "near-impenetrable" in its latest security audit. The IMAP server stores email received by other programs and then delivers the messages to programs such as Outlook when they ask for it. German security team Cure53 did the audit which involved four security experts spending 20 hours trying to penetrate the network.
