Donald Trump tweeted that he has decided on his pick to fill the vacant ninth seat on the United States Supreme Court.
The former host of "The Apprentice" has not lost his TV-flair even as president. Trump said he will announce his pick on prime time TV at 8 p.m. Eastern Tuesday evening. Without mentioning a specific network on which it will air, most presume the announcement will air across the board in true Trump style.
The scheduling announcement came via Trump's Twitter feed.
One can assume he will cover other topics during his prime-time address, particularly the responses to the travel ban he signed on Friday.
Questions still remain as to how many people will tune in to watch the announcement of the Supreme Court pick, which is now apparently between Neil Gorsuch of the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals and Thomas Hardiman of the Third Circuit.
The new justice, who will replace the late Justice Antonin Scalia, was selected from a list put together months ago by conservative interest groups. Democrats worry Trump wants to pack the high court with conservatives eager to steamroll key issues, such as abortion, civil rights, environmental protection and government regulations.
The goal, per USA Today, is to find someone who can serve on the Supreme Court for a quarter century or more.
Just like LeBron James THE DECISION
And, and we know how well THAT was received...
Trump will screw this up like everything else he's doing!!!!!
