33Across Names Ex-AOL Exec To COO, Promotes Engineering Leader TO CTO

Publisher monetization platform 33Across on Thursday said it named former AOL executive David Jacobs to the position of chief operating officer (COO), and promoted Shyam Kuttikkad to chief technology officer (CTO) from vice president of engineering.

Prior to joining 33Across, Jacobs held several senior management roles at AOL. As senior vice president and general manager, he was responsible for the launch of AOL's Marketplace, a global supply-side platform.  He also led Advertising.com’s earliest efforts in the programmatic space, overseeing its first real-time bidding  platform partnerships and integrations.

Kuttikkad has led 33Across’ product engineering team as vice president since 2012. As CTO, he will continue in this role and take on the added responsibilities of leading the company’s technology strategy. Previously, Kuttikkad was director of engineering, online advertising for Yahoo, and was a senior manager at Tele Atlas.

At the end of 2016, the company said its publisher base grew to 1,200 in more than 10 countries. It develops programmatic solutions for mobile, native, and video.
