Publicis Wins IOC Branding/Image Assignment Leading Up To 2018 Olympics

The International Olympic Committee has awarded Publicis a branding and image assignment for the lead-up to the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

The selection followed a competitive pitch and will be led out of Publicis offices in the UK, with support from Publicis NY.

Publicis and its UK-based digital/social/content arm Poke are tasked with developing broadcast, digital activation and integrated Olympic Channel content to promote the Olympic Movement over the next year.

The campaign will launch in the months leading up to the Olympics, which will take place next February.

Melinda May, vice president, marketing strategy/activation at the IOC, stated: “We were impressed by the collaboration and dedication shown and the deep interest and understanding of the IOC’s mission” by Publicis and Poke. “They were the best agencies to develop our campaign.”
