Fox's CMO Angela Courtin Departs

Fox’s Angela Courtin has left the network as chief marketing officer to pursue other opportunities.

Courtin joined the network in mid-2015 as EVP/CMO, responsible for the network overall brand strategy, overseeing on-air and off-air promotion and advertising, national media, multiplatform and affiliate marketing, design and social media.

She originally joined to aid Joe Earley, who previously had the post, and became COO of Fox. Earley left Fox in late 2015, joining Gail Berman's Jackal Group as president in early 2016.

Courtin will remain with Fox while the network searches for a replacement.

Courtin came to Fox from Relativity Media, where was responsible for all film, television and sports marketing initiations, plus all branding and advertising campaigns at the digital-age entertainment company.

Previous to Relativity Media, Courtin was president of Dentsu Aegis Network U.S. from 2013 to 2014. Before that, she was SVP of integrated marketing at MTV Networks.

Recently, Fox hired Tommy Gargotta as EVP, creative marketing. Gargotta previously held positions as president of theatrical marketing for Relativity EuropaCorp Distribution. Before that, he was president of worldwide creative advertising for Sony Pictures Entertainment.
