MindShare To Teens: 'Can You Hear Me Now?'

  • May 4, 2005
More than half of American teens age 13-17 now own a cell phone, according to results of an online survey released Tuesday by MindShare. Cell phone ownership increased 43 percent, while daily cell phone usage has more than doubled from 2004. The results, based on a survey of 400, also found that teens with cell phones tend to be heavier users of media than other kids their age. While virtually all teens watch television, cell-phone users are significantly more likely than non-users to use the Internet every day, read newspapers, listen to radio and read magazines. -- J.M.
